Activity #2: Rhyming Words

This week the children have been learning about rhyming words. This can be quite a tricky skill to master so a lot of practise is needed. Ask your child to watch the video below  to learn more about rhyming words. Then, you and your child can come up with words that rhyme with the following:

• cat
• pen
• sock
• coat
• chair

Activity #3: Ordering Numbers

Challenge your child’s number recognition and ordering skills by playing the Caterpillar Ordering Game below. (Make sure to choose Sequencing and not Ordering.) Depending on their ability, they can start by ordering numbers forward or do it backwards from 10.
