Thursday 4th March - World Book Day

Good morning and happy world book day to you - I hope to see some of you dressing up today.

I also bring exciting news! On Friday 5th March at 11 am we will be having a zoom catch up so  I will get to see all of your lovely faces! Miss Sexton will text your parents today to give them more information! It will be a chance for us to have a chat about coming back to school and for us to go on our own treasure hunt!

So, I know we are now far too excited about tomorrow, but back to today. Lets start with green pen (just need to say again how impressed at how amazing your fraction work was today! Very proud of you all!)

Today you will be completing part B of your fractions assessment booklet; this is pages 6 to 10.

Today you will need to

  • Find fractions of amount
  • X and divide by 10,100 and 1000
  • Multiply decimals
  • Equivalence of fractions, decimals and percentages

You know how to do all of these things so have faith in yourself! Just remember, x and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 just involves place value - you do not need to use written methods. Also THE DECIMAL DOES NOT MOVE!!!!

So today you are going to finish your own versions of Treasure Island - what you have done so far is amazing! Today you will write the resolution and the ending. Don’t forget to refer back to your plan and re read what you have written so far before you start.
