For maths today we are going to be focusing on word problems.. woohoo! What do we use to help us with word problems? I hear you all shouting out... RUCSAC!
Refresh your RUCSAC knowledge below, and then use what you know to solve the word problems!
There are different difficult questions on your sheet - everything is explained on there. Think really carefully about the level of challenge you want to try, maybe you could do a few from each section! It’s your choice.
READ THE QUESTION CAREFULLY!!!
I won’t keep you in suspense any longer, you can read the rest of the book today! Read through the whole book and see if you can notice a little secret that Barbara Lehman included!
Now, you might have noticed that this book has no words, but you have still found out so much from the pictures which is fantastic! For the rest of the week we are going to have a go at writing a play-script. In your packs there is an example of a play-script, I’ve attached a picture below in case you can’t find it.
I would like you to read through the play-script and label any features that you can find, look for:
- Character’s names
- Character’s speech
- Stage directions
- Exciting punctuation
Maybe you can highlight each feature a different colour if you can! Once you have found all the features, have a go at performing the play-script with your family, do your best to follow the instructions!
Time to go to AR now and complete this term’s ⭐️Star Reading Quiz⭐️
Your logins are easy to remember: the 1st letter of your first name, and the first 4 letters of your last name. Mine would be: emile
I can’t say exactly what your password is but think about the beginning of the alphabet!
Once you have managed to log in, click the button that says Star Reading Quiz and have a go at answering the questions. If you need to put in a password it is admin.
Don’t forget, do not guess the answer to a question if you don’t know what the answer is - wait for it to time out and go on to the next one.
You’ll be able to start doing quizzes once you have completed your test!
You have 2 sheets to complete today - one called Les Nombres and the other is Les Nombres 1-10 Crossword. It would be best to do Les Nombres first to help you with the crossword.
The numbers are shown below to help you - are any of them similar to English?
