Today for maths we are going to be thinking about the directions lines go in. In your packs there is a sheet titled Horizontal and Vertical Lines, have a go at working through the activities. Read the questions carefully so you know what it is you need to do.
- Remember what we said in class about horizontal lines? They’re like the horizon - HORIZONtal
- Parallel lines are like train tracks, they stay the same distance apart! They never meet (how sad!)
- Perpendicular lines are lines at a right angle (90 degrees) from each other!
We’re going to be having another think about conjunctions today! Grab the sheet titled Conjunctions 2 and have a go at figuring out the words to fill in!
To help you I’ll give you a clue as to the words to think about (some words below wont be used):
while, so, and, although, but, before, since, if, because, or, yet
Lets see who can figure out the secret word!
Some very lovely stories about Zeinab and her rubbish collecting! They were delightful to read!
Today we are going to be having a look at a different story. It is called: The Shirt Machine. It is a wonderful animation made by some very smart people (not me!). Have a watch and then I would like you to get the sheet titled Design the workings of the shirt machine. Have a go at drawing how YOU THINK the machine works, draw the different parts and label them! Keep the sheet safe for later in the week too!
Hopefully you have enjoyed picking what movie to watch with your family! (I also hope your family weren’t as annoyed about your choice as mine! I’ve made them watch The Lord of the Rings far too many times!)
Today I would like you to design and make a Showing Timetable for your movie and also plan some snacks to have! Maybe you are going to have a go at making some homemade snacks or use your hard earned pocket money to treat your family to some sweets! Your choice!
