Year 2 Sporting Success !

Year 2 Sporting Success ! 1

On Wednesday 30th November 8 children from Year 2 went to a Boccia and Kurling Competition at Northfleet School For Girls. We entered two teams playing against eleven other Schools from Gravesham. What a fantastic morning we had using our sporting skills to play two great games which we have learnt during our P.E. lessons. Team 1 came 1st place and Team 2 came 5th. Well done to both teams who showed great sportsmanship throughout.

On Wednesday 27th September 2016, some pupils went to Shorne Country Park to take part in a cross-country event.  Tommy, George, Hayden, Umet, Bella, Chloe, Nancy, Alisha, Joe, Athene, Harina, Lily-Anne, Sid K, Asif, Arif, Joanna, Stephen, Lenny, Charlie, Michael, Casey, Ruby, Rosie and Poppy all represented Westcourt School.

We had a lovely morning!  Two children (Bella and Charlie) came second from the highest scorers.  The races were very hard but we tried our best.  Hopefully next year we will do just as well!

Thank you Mrs Hughes and well done everyone!
