Well done to Sri Lanka class with 96.9% attendance for Term 4

Thank you to Year 5 (New Zealand) who presented their family assembly all about their learning in Term 4: the book Skellig, Science Week and geography work about Amazing Americas!  Everyone was very impressed by the traditional Mexican hat dance at the end!

Today the whole school enjoyed an assembly from Year 4 Canada Class, where we learned about their recent work about Vikings, Africa and Sound.  At the end of the assembly, they performed an African clapping dance and the whole school joined in!  Thank you Canada Class!

Here are some of our lovely Year 6 Times Tables Monitors who are seeing how the different classes have been getting on with their times tables and related number facts.  This is a really important focus in school at the moment - so thank you to everyone at home for supporting your children with their learning!

As you know, the Year 5 family assembly was cancelled due to the snow and the school being closed.  This assembly has now been re-scheduled for March 23rd at 2.40pm.

In school today we were delighted to celebrate World Book Day (albeit a little late because of last week's snow!).  The children arrived in school in a variety of impressive costumes and then during the day completed work based around a book or author.  At the end of the day, the children all gathered in the hall for a sharing assembly with parents invited to share in the completed work.  Well done to everyone who made the effort with their costumes - how many book characters can you recognise in the pictures below?

World Book Day is on Monday 5th March due to the school being closed last week due to the weather.  Parents are invited into School at 2.30pm for an assembly where we will be sharing our achievements.
