Train to teach with the Primary First Trust
Mon 13 Nov 2017Dear Friend or Parent of the Primary First Trust,
Are you interested in training to become a primary school teacher?
Our schools are part of a growing number of schools leading the way for more school-led teacher training. This is really important to us because it means we can choose the very best talent and develop them into teachers. Being able to choose who we train as teachers helps us in delivering the best outcomes for the students at all the schools in our partnership.
We have vacancies now to start training from September 2018 and we would be very interested to head from you if you are thinking of becoming a teacher, or know someone who is. We're looking for people who have (or will have) a degree, have a passion for teaching and want to inspire young people to fulfil their potential.
You can find out more by visiting our School Direct page by clicking here.

Have a wonderful holiday...
Fri 20 Oct 2017It seems hard to believe that we have already reached the end of our first term! The whole school community - staff, parents and (of course) children have been working very hard to develop learning and there have been many achievements to celebrate.
Have a very restful and safe two week break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to begin Term 2 on Monday 6th November 2017.

Roald Dahl Day
Thu 14 Sep 2017The whole school celebrated Roald Dahl Day today by coming to school dressed as a character from one of the author's books. There was a wide variety of characters to spot - Willy Wonka, BFG, Matila, Fantastic Mr Fox, Charlie Bucket, Miss Trunchnball and many more. The teachers joined in the fun, and at the end of the day the whole school celebrated the work that had been completed.
Have a look at just a few pictures from the day - which characters can you recognise? A big thank you to all parents and carers for the great efforts made with the outfits!

Sri Lanka Art
Fri 08 Sep 2017Our Year 6 class have been finding out how the country that gives their class its name (Sri Lanka) is known as the teardrop of India. On their own 'teardrops' they created rangoli-style patterns with brightly coloured paint. Can you work out what they used to make the dots? -

Goodbye year 6
Thu 20 Jul 2017Year 6 have had a fun fortnight celebrating their fundraising. They've had a trip to Whitstable, personalised hoodies made, a disco just for them, and they've enjoyed Dominos pizza for lunch. Well done to year 6 for raising such a lot of money. We wish you every success for your future!
As one pupil said in the emotional leavers' assembly:
"Westcourt treats all its pupils with the utmost respect. We are fortunate to attend this school as it has given us an extra step forward in life."
