This week's spelling words
This week we have started reading our new book 'Earthquake'.
Re-read the pages that have been read so far up to ‘leave for safety’. (the pages can be found below)
One page lists the items that are packed.
Look at the items that the family packed to take with them.
Write a sentence for each of the items that they packed and say why you think it was important to take the item (was it precious or useful?)
Can you find out what Kwan Yin is?
What have we learned about the family?
Imagine that your family are in the same situation and have to pack quickly to leave the house. What five items would your family take and why would you choose them. Think about what would be important for the whole family.
What items would you take that would be helpfgul or useful?
What items would you take that are precious to your whole family?
