  • Phase 2 Build

    Sun 24 Nov 2019

As you will have seen the fencing around the building site has been recently changed and you will now be able to see progress on the site yourselves. This fencing still ensures that the site is secure and that children have no access to the site. The builders have also managed to reduce the size in which they are working.

The team are working extremely hard to make the existing building watertight so that further work can begin inside. The concrete floors have been laid and you can now see how spacious the new classrooms are going to be.

  • Aladdin in the house!

    Thu 21 Nov 2019
The whole school had an early Christmas treat today when we were visited by a theatre group for a production of Aladdin. It was a great show with lots of laughs, silliness, joining in and great music for everyone to enjoy a singalong!
  • Year 3 go back to the Stone Age!

    Mon 18 Nov 2019
As part of their 'Rock of Ages' theme, Year 3 visited the Museum of Kent Life to take part in a Stone Age experience day.  Topics included weapons, farming and cave paintings.  The children took part in lots of interesting workshops - even grinding their own flour to bring back to school, and meeting a Stone Age man!  The children represented the school brilliantly and learnt a lot to 'kick start' their learning in History this term.
  • History Day - Remembrance Day

    Mon 11 Nov 2019
Today, the whole school took part in Remembrance Day activities as part of our History Day.  The children in all year groups learned about the significance of the poppies and created a range of creative and thought-provoking activities, which were shared in a special assembly at the end of the day.  There was also a special 'extra' assembly when the whole school gathered at 11am to observe the two minute silence.  Children came to school either dressed in red or in some costume linked to the World Wars. Thank you for all your support at home with the costumes and clothing.  Here is just some of the lovely work that was created throughout the day:
  • Phase 2 Build

    Tue 05 Nov 2019

The building of the new year 5 and 6 classrooms continues despite the recent wet weather. As you have seen, all the outside steels have been erected which gives you an idea of the new space that will be created. What you have not been able to see is that the initial brickwork have been laid. Internally the steels have been constructed for the floor to be laid and the window spaces have been created. I will update you further later on this term.

  • Creative Homework - Key Stage Two

    Wed 30 Oct 2019

We had another great assembly this afternoon to share the creative learning from Term 1 from Years 3-6.  We saw work about secret agents, creating a city in a box, weather, animals made from natural objects and views through windows.

There were a lot of impressive things to enjoy!  Thank you to all the family members who helped to make such successful pieces of work!

  • Key Stage One Creative Learning

As always, thanks to all the parents, carers and family members who helped with all the lovely work.
