  • Phase 2 Build

    Fri 20 Sep 2019

I know that lots of parents and children have been asking about the phase two build and the progress that is being made. Due to some unforeseen circumstances progress was slower at the start of the summer than anticipated but I can now report on the progress that has been made.

All of the outside ground work has been completed and the internal steels have gone into the building. You can see from the pictures that the shape of the classroom structure is coming together. The old toilets have been knocked down ready for the new extension which will contain the stairwell, changing rooms and toilets. You will soon see the new windows going in at the front of the building for the year 6 classroom.

Many thanks for your continued understanding and patience on site as the building work progresses.

  • Welcome Back!

    Sat 31 Aug 2019

    Welcome Back!

We look forward to welcoming all the children back to school at 8.45 on Wednesday 4th September. A special welcome to all the children and families that are new to Westcourt, please do ask if you are unsure about anything.

On the first day children in the nursery and year R (Norway and Italy class) will enter via the Early Years gate. The rest of the school will come in via the ‘Kiss and Go Gate’. Year 1 children will be met by their class teachers Mrs Atkinson, Mrs Outred and Mrs Harris at the gate so that they can all walk over together. We will do this for the next few days, until the children get use to this new routine. Children in Years 2 to 6 can make their own way to class.

We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 4th September and hearing about your summer break!

Enjoy the last few days of the holidays and this beautiful sunshine.

    Tue 02 Jul 2019
As part of their creative learning based around 'The Railway Children', children in Year 3 have created some great sketches of a steam train.  The children used an online tutorial to help them with the basic sketch, and then made it their own!  See the full gallery on the Egypt Class page - click here.
