Wednesday

We had a good journey in the minibuses thanks to Miss Gilliam and Sarah's wonderful driving.  After a tour of the site, and a bit of unpacking it was time for our first activity of Obstacle Challenge which involved balance beams, climbing nets, swinging ropes and even a see=saw that could hold a whole group of children!  Sadly there are no photos of this because it was too dark for Mr Trodd's camera.  We then had dinner and it was time for our evening activity of Mini Olympics with a variety of fun and wacky races.  The evening ended with a delicious hot chocolate.  After that we were all ready for bed!

And a little surprise....

At dinner time today Mr Trodd was very surprised when Mrs Semanshia presented him with a birthday cake (thanks to Miss Marshall!) and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday to You".  What a lovely surprise!

Thursday

We woke up to beautiful blue skies and sunshine this morning and after a hearty breakfast we were ready to begin a full day of activities.  On our agenda today was: laser tag, climbing, abseiling, problem solving, jungle vines, team tech and the evening was rounded off with songs around the camp fire.  We also had the opportunity to share the birthday cake that Mr Trodd received on Wednesday evening.  Sadly, there are no photographs of Mr Trodd's group on the jungle vines because by that point it was dark.  However, the children amazed him with their bravery and persistence in challenging themselves to go further and higher than they first thought.  Everyone was ready for bed by the end of the day!

Friday

Our final morning arrived with more sunshine (how lucky!) and after breakfast it was on to our final activities.  Mr Trodd's group started with Team Tech - a very fun building challenge; while Mrs Semanshia's group were on the Jungle Vines.  Then both groups finished with Aeroball (a mix between trampolining and basketball).  Sadly after our final lunch it was time to get back on the minibuses and return to school.  It was a great three days and everyone had a fantastic time.  Thank you to everyone who made it possible!

And finally...

It’s a good job that Mrs Semanshia likes mayonnaise because at our final lunch the lid came off the bottle and she got a lot more than she had originally planned! 🤭
