Welcome back everyone to term 2! We are looking forward to lots more exciting learning opportunities - you can find out more by reading the curriculum newsletters. These can be found on the class pages in the section for children. 

As part of the Primary First Trust, children from across the school joined with other trust schools at the Woodville Halls in Gravesend.  Our children had a great time performing their song and dance on a real stage and were a real credit to the school with their effort, enthusiasm and behaviour.  

Year 5 had a fantastic trip to Horton Kirby today as part of their learning about rivers.  They learnt a lot about river features and measured river flow.  Their behaviour was fantastic and everyone had a lot of fun and learnt a lot.

Year 3 have been studying 'Belonging' by the artist Jeannie Baker in their English lessons.  The book tells a story with no words - just a series of views through the same window.  Inspired by this, Year 3 created some views from school windows using pastels and collage.  Some materials were leaves and sticks collected from the playground.  You can see all the finished artwork on the Egypt class page by clicking here.

The whole school gathered together this morning to celebrate Harvest Festival.  Thank you to all who sent in contributions which will be donated to the Gravesham food bank.  The whole school was in fine voice and spent the rest of the day with just one song stuck in their minds...

Years 3 and 4 had a fun workshop with Rob from Take Pride when he came to teach them all about the fun of "Speed Stacking".  The children took part in games and races to create pyramids and towers in preparation for an inter-school tournament next term.
