Year 5 Pocahontas Parade
Tue 21 Mar 2017Children from Year 5 (New Zealand Class) took part in a parade in the centre of Gravesend this afternoon, along with many children from other local schools. Earlier in the term, as part of the 'Pocahontas 400' commemorations, the children had the opportunity to take part in an art workshop to make flags. These flags were then waved at the parade. Everyone had a very fun afternoon and the children represented the school brilliantly. Thank you to all the parents who came along to wave us along the route all the way to the finish point of the Pocahontas Statue in the grounds of St George's Church. All the children who took part were also presented with a special commemorative medal.
